Who are we and what do we exactly provide?
We provide automotive diagnostics to assist the DIY or small shop mechanic to pinpoint the cause of why the vehicle is not functioning as expected or designed and with the results of the diagnostics help them do the proper repairs without having to fire the parts cannon or parts shotgun at the problem.
Our services can save time, frustration and money. Having someone with knowledge of the electrical/electronic systems onboard most modern vehicles and performs more thorough testing of those systems will allow us to pinpoint the cause of the issue allowing good, effective repairs to be performed.
We currently offer our service in the Eastern North Carolina area. This may change however as things develop.
Here is a list of what services we currently provide.
We mostly specialize in the electronic/electrical side of the automotive repair industry since that part is more misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Some mechanical issues can be caused by the electronics/electrical side and we will diagnose the electrical/electronic side to help the DIY or shop mechanic rule this out as a variable.
If we come across an electrical issue such as a broken or corroded wire, we will advise of the defect and then see if the customer wants us to repair the wire or do they wish to repair the defect.
We will ONLY do just enough bolt and nut turning to be able to gain access to the area in which we need to perform our testing. We do not do any repairs including sensor replacement at this time. If fastener removal is required, we will get permission from the owner/shop before proceeding.
Why we only do what we do is to actually help you save some time, frustration and money. Just throwing parts at it based on a code is a very calculated risk and sometimes be a very costly one especially if the part(s) don't fix the issue.
Our diagnostic report that you will receive both verbally and in your email will tell you what we did to troubleshoot the issue and what repairs need to be done in order to get that issue resolved.
This means that you should only have to buy the part once and have to do the repair once unless the infamous bad new parts strikes.
Currently the only way we are accepting appointments at this time is with the provided form in our Contact Us page.
Unless we are face to face, we will communicate through emails (preferred) or text messages. This will eliminate any of the who said or who didn't say what scenarios. It will also help cover both parties behinds because there will be a paper trail of sorts that can be referred back upon if any situation arises that requires for us to refer to the documentation.
Appointments ONLY at this time! I do have an area that will allow me to do the electrical/electronic diagnostics but for a limited amount of vehicles at a time.
We currently do NOT have a garage to be able to perform any kind of repair services. This may change in the future but as of now, we do diagnostics only!
We prefer for the vehicle to come to us. The tools we use are nearby and we can ensure our own safety in this area. We may do some on location calls (on a individual basis) if we feel that the location is safe for us to do so. If we do not feel safe, We will not come and the vehicle will NOT be diagnosed.
There are other reasons that we also do not do more than wiring repairs. You may ask your questions in our form in the Contact Us page.
We do not do module programming or ECU programming at this moment. We are hoping to bring this to our arsenal soon but as of this website's creation, we do not offer these services. If we call a bad module or ECU/ECM/TCM/TIPM that may need to be programmed, it will be up to the customer to find a facility that can get this done. Some online venders of used ECM/ECU/TCM/TIPM modules can sometimes program the one you are purchasing to your vehicle. Be careful with this approach because there is a few that do not do this part correctly.
